Kayak Level 1
This is an introductory course in kayaking of
all types. We'll go over strokes, rescues, and safety. Runs Thursday night
8-10pm in the pool. Just show up.

Climbing Level 1
This is an introductory course held at the
climbing wall or at a nearby crag. We'll go over knots, belaying and safety.
Runs Wednesday night 6-9pm at the indoor climbing wall. Just show up.

Latin Dance
Salsa, Merenge, Bachata. Tuesday Evenings 6-8pm. November 11, 13, 18, and
20th. Bring a partner or not, we'll find you one! SOEI Sentry room.
Must be registered to attend. FREE to Northland community, $25
for non-members.

Ice Safety Workshop
Do you enjoy ice fishing? How about walking
across the ice when the bay freezes? If so, you should attend the Ice
Fishing Safety Workshop, hosted by Northland’s American Fisheries Society
student subunit. The workshop will be on Thursday, December 4th, in CSE169
starting at 10:30am. The Ashland Fire Department will give a presentation
about ice safety, including some specifics to Lake Superior. For more

Repair and Maintenance
This workshop will take place over 5 sessions at Bay City Cycles in Ashland,
where you will learn from a professional how to completely strip down, clean, repair, and
maintain your bike. Carl Faber from Bay City Cycles is the instructor
extraordinaire!
Begins February 3rd and goes 5 consecutive Tuesdays, 6-8pm
FEE: $45 10 students maximum enrollment. 20% off purchase of tools after
completion of the workshop!
