Are you interested in spending a weekend exploring, experiencing adventure, and learning about the cultural history of the Sandstone area? Well, at Outdoor Exposures you will have a great time finding your sense of place while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.

SO WHAT DO YOU SAY?

Classes/Activities: This weekend will include:

• Tour and History of the Audubon Center of the North Woods

• Bonfire (each night)

• Ojibwe and Grindstone Lake

• Geology of ACNW and Grindstone Lake

• Reading the Landscape

• High Ropes

• OPTIONAL:

• Climbing Wall

• Night Scavenger Hunt/Night Hike

• Lodging: You will be staying in Crosby Lodge, one of the newer buildings at ACNW. There will be up to 8 male or 8 female participants per room. If there is someone who you know is going to be at Outdoor Exposures, please feel free to list them on the back of this form, for being in the same room with you. We will try to accommodate requests. 

• Cost: $25 (for lodging, meals, and activities from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon.)

Mission Statement:

The 2005 Fall Block Capstone is an integrated Outdoor Education experience blending adventure and natural history to provide a sense of place for freshman and other students at the Audubon Center of the North Woods, Northland College field campus.

From the south – Minneapolis/St.Paul:  Head north on Interstate 35 to the Sandstone exit 191.  Exit and head west for ~ 2 miles on 61/23.  Make a right turn on Grindstone Lake Road/Cty 27 (sign here) and head west ~ 3.1 miles.  Make a right on Fox Lane/Cty 17 (sign here) and head north ~ 100yards.  Make a left turn on Audubon Road between pillars (gate may be chained at night but is not locked) and head around 1 mile down driveway to the office.
